The current Society was founded in 1975 and has successfully presented at least two plays a year since that date. The Society in performing a pantomime every second year has encouraged and introduced live theatre to many youngsters in the community.

The Society acknowledges the financial assistance given by the Ardoch Development Trust to enable it to arrange for professional coaching to instruct adults and youngsters in stagecraft. Funding from the Trust has also helped the Society to develop improved lighting and sound systems which has raised the standard of presentations.

From the proceeds of the productions the Society has been able to support the annual summer outing for the senior citizens of the Community.
